The initiative against pulmonary hypertension was

• founded by Gerry Fischer, President of the Pulmonary Hypertension Research Foundation by Bank Austria Creditanstalt as the main sponsor in April 2005.

The initiative's objective in the fight against pulmonary hypertension

• to raise funds for research, to enable effective cures for patients with Pulmonary Hypertension to be developed and the opportunities for treating patients with PH to be improved.
